Insights on Hong Kong as a Premier MICE Destination by SHSM Alum
The School of Hospitality and Service Management recently had the pleasure of hosting a remarkable guest speaker today, Ms Chee Shu Fei (also known as Sophia), from the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Sophia is also an esteemed alum of SHSM, who formerly studied in the Diploma in Events Management. As part of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Management subject, students get to witness Sophia shared about her insights on Hong Kong as a Premier MICE Destination.
In the sharing session, Sophia highlighted the numerous unique attractions and facilities that make Hong Kong an ideal choice for hosting international events. From unique event venues to stunning hotels and vibrant cultural experiences, Hong Kong offers a remarkable blend of business and leisure opportunities to cater to the different needs of event organisers and participants.
Sophia also emphasized that the Hong Kong Tourism Board is highly committed to ensuring a seamless and rewarding experience for MICE travellers. The Hong Kong Tourism Board has implemented comprehensive support and reward schemes, specifically designed to attract business event organisers to choose Hong Kong as its host city. Indeed, this exhibits Hong Kong Tourism Board’s initiatives and utmost commitment to an excellent event experience and at the same time, reinforces Hong Kong's position as a leading destination for business events.
We would like to thank Sophia for sharing her expertise and inspiring our students. It fills us with pride to witness the remarkable contributions that our esteemed alum is making in their respective fields, creating a significant impact.
