The Blue-White Dot Short Story Writing Competition Winners Announced!

We are thrilled to announce the winners and other top stories of The Blue-White Dot Short Story Writing Competition, the groundbreaking literary initiative to promote the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the art of storytelling. The competition has been a resounding success, receiving almost 200 entries from talented writers of all ages from all over the world.   Our panel of judges—Prof Graeme Wilkinson, Prof Dr Leong Choon Heng and Prof Stephen J Hall from Sunway University; and authors Syamsuriatina Ishak and Shih-Li Kow—pored over every single entry and had a difficult yet rewarding time deciding on the winners, owing to the outstanding quality of the entries received.    The winners of The Blue-White Dot Short Story Writing Competition are: 1st Place: The Pathbreakers by Guy Russell 2nd Place: Tug-of-War by Paul Gnanaselvam A/L Pakirnathan 3rd Place: Harsh Winds by Ksatria Baskara Prasetya   We extend our warmest congratulations to the three winners! They have demonstrated exceptional storytelling skills and understanding of the SDGs, and illustrated the power of writing to make us reflect on our responsibilities on Earth and inspire change to make the world a better place.    In addition to the winners, we would like to congratulate the other top stories that have been selected as the best among the many outstanding entries we received.
