We’re excited to announce the successful conclusion of the 16th ESAP Symposium 2024! This year’s event brought together educators to explore innovative strategies for enhancing English proficiency in specific academic contexts, including gamification and multimedia e-portfolios.

The symposium was a fantastic opportunity for meaningful connections and valuable networking, all while exploring creative ways to integrate English language arts into the classroom.

The 16th ESAP Symposium organised by the Centre for English Language Studies (CELS) Sunway University and our excellent Marketing team has been packed with interesting, inspiring, and informative sessions. We would like to thank Professor Chai Lay Ching for her insightful opening speech, Dr Sirhajwan Idek for his brilliant keynote address in which he introduced an array of possible strategies to bring English language arts into the classroom, Dr Nicholas Lee, head of CELS, for a closing plenary in which he not only shared and summarised the key learning points of the day, but offered a framework that could help practitioners implement them. A great thanks to our colleagues and other speakers without whom this event would not have materialised, among them, Neera Dhawan, Persis Rodrigues, Anita Devi, Joseph Pang, etc.

Finally, a huge thanks to our wonderful Sunway University Student Ambassadors who helped the event go smoothly!
