Under the leadership of Professor Chai Lay Ching, our Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education, Employability, and Alumni, the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) Department at the School of Education recently hosted two insightful workshops aimed at enhancing alumni employability through the Sunway Skill Sphere platform. This platform provides flexible, self-paced micro-credentials that equip learners with industry-relevant skills, helping them stay competitive in today’s rapidly evolving job market. The workshops brought together Deputy Deans from various Sunway University schools, along with industry experts and Subject Matter Experts, to design impactful courses that address real-world needs.

Workshop 1: Exploring Career Pathways

This session focused on identifying key skills aligned with current industry demands, ensuring that our micro-credentials deliver practical value. The objective was to help alumni upskill in ways that are flexible and directly applicable to their professional growth.

Workshop 2: Using AI to Enhance Course Design

The second workshop explored how AI can be incorporated into course development to create more personalized and engaging learning experiences. By leveraging AI and gamification, we aim to develop adaptive content that meets the specific needs of today’s professionals.

Through Sunway Skill Sphere, we are dedicated to providing meaningful learning opportunities that empower our alumni to remain at the forefront of their fields. Stay tuned for more updates!
