Leaders from Huizhou University visited Sunway University

 

Following the signing of a memorandum in 2021, the collaboration between Huizhou University and Sunway University faced initial challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to an extension of their joint projects. Since the post-pandemic reopening, both institutions have maintained consistent communication, focusing on advancing existing projects to ensure that students are well-prepared for the evolving educational landscape.

Under the leadership of Professor Peng Yonghong, Party Secretary of Huizhou University, in-depth discussions were held with Professor Chai Lay Ching, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education, Employability and Alumni) of Sunway University, Ms. Lim Shui Chin, Chief of the International Office, and Professor Ir Denny Ng, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology. These discussions involved thorough research on multiple projects, aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of each initiative in the future.

Following the meeting, a campus tour was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Ts. Lau from the School of Engineering and Technology, along with Lester Lee and Jou Pang from the International Office (Partnership and Recruitment). Notably, Johnson Zhang Guochen, responsible for international university relations at Huizhou University, is an esteemed doctoral alumnus of Sunway University, highlighting his crucial role in fostering future collaborations between the two institutions.
