Lord Simon McDonald Featured in SJCDSS

Sunway University was privileged to host yet another stimulating session of the Sir Jeffrey Cheah Distinguished Speakers Series, this time featuring the distinguished Lord Simon McDonald, Master of Christ's College at the University of Cambridge.

In his insightful presentation titled "Changing Diplomacy in the Twenty-first Century," Lord McDonald delved into the evolving landscape of international relations. He discussed how new diplomatic actors, such as Malaysia, can effectively establish their presence and assert influence on the global stage. Additionally, he examined how traditional powers like the United Kingdom must adapt to these changes to maintain their relevance and effectiveness in contemporary diplomacy.
