SET Students Win MCMC Datathon 2024
Team FortuneTellers, a group of Year 3 Bachelor of Information Systems (Honours) (Data Analytics) students from the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Chan Ming Li, Goh Jia Ying, Lai Jing Kun and Leanne Ooi Xin Ru, have been crowned champions of the MCMC Datathon 2024.
The MCMC Datathon 2024, organised by MCMC and JomHack, saw 30 diverse teams tackle four challenge tracks. Team FortuneTellers triumphed in the prediction challenge with a courier demand model to help Malaysian companies optimise peak-season resources.
