  1. Design, develop, synthesize and characterize advanced 2D materials to improve the performance of various applications across disciplines with the primary aim of enhancing energy efficiency.
  2. Integrate heat transfer, tribology, material science and biotechnology through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research to address thermal and electrochemical energy, harvesting, conversion and storage problems.
  3. Support local industries with solutions based on advanced materials with high commercial potential and societal impact, thereby addressing national and other related Sustainable Development Goals.
