Introductory Message

On behalf of the management of the Sunway Education Group (SEG), I would like to confirm that Sunway University, one of the 16 learning institutions under the SEG, owned and governed by the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, is pleased to host the Asian Law and Society Association (ALSA) Meeting 2023.

We fully understand that the ALSA Meeting is an important and unique international meeting that seeks to further inquiry into the nexus between law and society in the Asian region. We take note of past meetings as providing a platform for participants to discuss, debate, and share experiences in the diverse ways the law intersects with people and communities.

Undoubtedly a successful meeting will help enhance collaboration among participants from different research fields and countries. To this end, the University will endeavour to provide a professional and well-organized meeting to make the ALSA 2023 a successful, remarkable and memorable event. Our campus of 22-acres, the principal venue for the conference, is equipped with excellent facilities and is strategically located in the well-planned township of Sunway City.

I am certain that with our excellent facilities, the strong institutional support rendered by the SEG and the passion, experience and skill of the local Organizing Committee, the ALSA 2023 Meeting will be a very special and enriching experience.
