EAEA-17: Pre-Conference Update -- Live and Ready
It is now three days to the 17th EAEA International Convention and the organising team is finalising all conference details to ensure that everything proceed smoothly on Saturday.
Latest Schedule: The latest detailed programme sheet has been emailed to participants. As of the last update, S125 and S126 on Saturday and S215, 219, S223, and S225 have changes. Nevertheless, it is recommended that all participants examine the detailed programme and their respective sessions one final time. Furthermore, names which have an asterisk (*) next to them have indicated they will present virtually.
Conference Check-in: If you have arrived to the vicinity of Sunway University on Friday, you can perform an early check-in to collect your conference lanyard and conference bag from 10am-6pm. Otherwise, we will be ready in front of our main hall from 8am onwards on Saturday. Please note that if you have been issued a QR code at ticket purchase, we will no longer be using the QR code. Instead, please state your first/last name (and institution or your conference paper) to the registration team and they will do the necessary. There will be an infodesk ready to handle any further requests for information.
Venue Notes: Sunway University is committed to reducing waste and single-used plastics on campus. The conference kit will include a reusable tumbler and can be refilled with coffee, tea or plain water at multiple points around the conference venues. Sunway University is also a zero alcohol and non-smoking campus.
Conference Dinner: If you are joining us for the conference dinner(s), please note that the conference dinner is at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa about 20-minutes walk from the University building. We are organising walking groups to guide participants to the dinner venue, leaving at set intervals. The pre-dinner reception will have free flow soft drinks and beer. Other drinks will be paid by the respective participant on the spot, although we have negotiated for free corkage. Both dinners will be in the Chinese banquet style, with courses being served at intervals throughout the evening.
COVID-19 precautions: For foreign participants, please do remember to install the mySejahtera COVID-19 tracing app as you may be asked to display it upon entry to Sunway University campus. We recommend performing a COVID self-test with commercially available kits before coming, although it is not mandatory. Masking is still required indoors in Malaysia, although not during meals. If you are experiencing any symptoms of sickness, please do let us (the event organisers) know and self-quarantine. Virtual participation is still possible.
