Sunway University was featured in articles by Digital News Asia, Business Today, and SME detailing the University's sustainability efforts. Here are some excerpts from the articles:

'Sunway Group and the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia (EUD) have formed a strategic partnership aimed at advancing joint sustainability initiatives. This collaboration between Southeast Asia’s leading conglomerate and the world’s largest trading bloc underscores their shared commitment to achieving a net zero future, according to Sunway's statement.

The pressing challenges posed by climate change necessitate ambitious actions on sustainability. Through this partnership, Sunway and the EUD pledge to promote a sustainable and greener future by pooling their strengths, knowledge, funding, and engaging in collaborative initiatives.

Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia Chargé d’affaires a.i Timo Goosmann said, “The European Union is partnering with Sunway Group to raise awareness on sustainable practices in Malaysia. The EU has worked diligently to ensure that environmental sustainability becomes a common vision. At home, it has adopted the European Climate Law, which defines that Europe’s economy and society must become climate neutral by 2050.”

This year, Sunway is pioneering the Desa Mentari Community Observatory project, which aims to address urban poverty by employing a holistic, data-driven approach to enhance the quality of life for nearly 30,000 residents in Subang Jaya’s public housing scheme.'
