The Department of Primary Care Medicine at the University Malaya Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organized a Hypertension Screening campaign in conjunction with World Hypertension Day 2023. 

The primary goal of this campaign was to raise awareness about hypertension, promote early detection, and provide guidance to individuals at risk. The campaign was a resounding success, engaging a significant number of participants and offering them screenings, educational resources, and personalized support.

We collaborated with the Malaysian Society of Hypertension (MSH) and The Malaysian Society for World Action on Salt, Sugar, and Health (MyWASSH) to ensure the success of this event.

During the four-day campaign, we organized a series of events, including activities such as "Move with the Docs," "Cook with the Docs," and a live webinar that provided comprehensive information about hypertension. 

These initiatives were designed to enhance awareness and understanding of hypertension within our community. Additionally, we offered continuous medical education to our hospital staff, including allied health professionals, nurses, doctors, and engineers, among others. This education ensured that they were well-informed and updated on the subject matter.
