Biography

Priyadharshini Ahrumugam is dedicated to education and training, building a career focused on meaningful impact, innovation, and a passion for lifelong learning. Beginning her journey in Corporate Language Training, she has designed and delivered transformative vocational, communicative, and academic programs for Malaysia’s public and private sectors, empowering professionals across diverse industries.

In 2008, Priyadharshini made a bold leap into academia, joining Sunway University, where she now serves in the Department of Communication, School of Arts. A certified Master Trainer in Cyberbullying Prevention and Media Information Literacy Programs, she aspires to enthuse educators, students, and media professionals to combat digital challenges and embrace responsible online behaviors.

Her research spans critical areas such as cyberbullying, media and gender, inclusive education, and multimodality in higher education, reflecting her passion for fostering meaningful change in society. Armed with a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education at Lancaster University, UK, Priyadharshini combines cutting-edge expertise with a hands-on approach to education.

With her dynamic presence, innovative mindset, and unwavering dedication, Priyadharshini is not just shaping conversations but driving action in digital literacy, equity, and empowerment.
