Biography

Dr Chong Chin Yoon has held the position of mathematics lecturer at Sunway University since 2007, he has been awarded and received accolades in acknowledgment of his outstanding teaching performance, as attested by student evaluations of the courses he has instructed at Sunway University. 

With expertise in the fields of Mathematics and Statistics, he boasts over three decades of teaching experience and has delivered presentations at various local and international conferences. Notably, he received invitations to serve as a guest lecturer for a short summer course at the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing. Additionally, he participated in the Lancaster University Educational Development Programme hosted at Lancaster University. Dr Chong served as an instructor for various local seminars and workshops, focusing on imparting practical knowledge on utilizing Texas Instruments' Grapher Voyage 200. Furthermore, he was invited to lead a workshop on "Understanding Statistics" at Broad World Precision Industry (M) Sdn Bhd.

In his leisure time, Dr Chong indulges in his other passions, music, and hiking. He has demonstrated his musical talent by participating in national song composition competitions. Moreover, he has conquered several of Malaysia's formidable peaks, including Gunung Tahan (the highest mountain in West Malaysia) and Mount Kinabalu (the highest mountain in Boneo), showcasing his adventurous spirit and love for the great outdoors.
