Water Reuse Policy

The University policy for Water Re-use is embedded within the "Environmental Sustainability Policy" (page 5) which is accessible through our open policies page. Sunway University is implementing an automated irrigation system for efficient landscaping, using water based on weather and soil needs. The university prioritizes using local water sources, like on-site treatment plants, to reduce reliance on municipal water. They are committed to installing water-efficient fittings certified under water efficiency labeling schemes and plan to use private water meters for monitoring and managing water usage and leak detection. Additionally, Sunway University will install water-efficient cooling towers, reusing recycled water (such as AHU condensation) when possible for cooling systems.
