Biography
Jeanette Lim has a B.A. (Hons), Dip. Ed. and M. Ed. (TESL). Currently, she is a PhD candidate of Lancaster University, UK where her provisional thesis title is ESL teachers’ and students’ perceptions and use of assessment information in an examination-oriented context. Trained as a teacher in Australia, she had taught in two international schools with different curricular emphases — British and American — and a college in Malaysia before joining Sunway Education Group in 1997. At present, she is Head of the Intensive English Programme and Deputy Head of the Centre for English Language Studies. Apart from in-house seminars and workshops, she conducts English language workshops for students and teachers in Malaysian schools and presents papers at local an d int ernational conferences. Her research interests are curriculum development, language assessment and testing as well as second language acquisition.
