Biography

Edgar Yau graduated with a Master of Science in Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh in 2022. His dissertation investigated ideologies and interactions surrounding online comedic performances of ‘Asian’ English. Beyond linguistics, he is interested in film and media criticism and the academic study of religion and classics. He has taught in the United States and Hong Kong and is passionate about creating inclusive and dynamic learning environments.
