Background | 活动背景:
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, Sunway University, Malaysia, partners with the China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation to propel scientific and technological innovation forward. Acknowledging the pivotal role of youth in shaping our collective destiny, this collaborative endeavour seeks to tap into the boundless creativity of students from both nations to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At its heart, this initiative champions the cultivation of collaboration and camaraderie among the youth of China and ASEAN member states, recognising their potential to forge a path towards a sustainable future and strengthen bilateral relations. By equipping our youth with the knowledge and resources needed to effect positive change, we lay the groundwork for a more prosperous and interconnected global community.
In pursuit of this vision, we propose a joint event designed to promote youth-driven innovation and foster greater cooperation between China and Malaysia. This groundbreaking initiative invites high school and undergraduate students (aged 16-25) from both nations to unleash their creativity and scientific prowess in devising solutions to pressing global challenges outlined in the SDGs, such as climate change, food security, and renewable energy. By engaging the next generation of innovators in this mission for sustainable development, we aim to ignite a spark of inspiration and empowerment that will propel them to become catalysts for positive change in their communities and beyond. Join us on this transformative journey as we harness the potential of our youth to build a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
庆祝马来西亚与中国建交50周年，马来西亚双威大学与中国国际科学技术合作协会携手推动科技创新。我们深知青年是塑造命运共同体的关键角色，因此这一合作努力旨在激发两国青年学生的创造力，共同应对可持续发展目标（SDGs）的挑战。
本倡议核心旨在培养东盟成员国和中国青年之间的合作和友谊，引导并认可他们在开创通往可持续未来之路和加强中国与东盟国家关系方面的潜力。通过为我们的青年学生提供知识和资源，以实现积极变革，为全球社会平台奠定了更加繁荣和相互联系的基础。
