SBMDC Team Wins Best Innovation Award for Sustainable Health Solutions

 

The Sunway Biofunctional Molecules Discovery Centre (SBMDC) and the School of Medical and Life Sciences would like to congratulate Dr Wu Yuan Seng, and his team comprising Dr Yap Fook Choy, Dr Alan Tan Sang Loon, and PhD student Ms Michelle Felicia Lee, as well as Ms Samhita Palasupramaniam, a second-year Biomedicine undergraduate student from the Department of Biological Sciences. The teams have been awarded the Best Innovation Award at the Innovate for Longevity, Health, and Wellness Challenge, held in conjunction with the Research & Innovation Forum on "Realizing Well-being in ASEAN through Advanced Technologies." This event was jointly organized by Sustainable Food Asia Co., Ltd. and SBMDC, which aims to promote the use of sustainable health solutions for longevity, health, and wellness.

The awards, each worth RM1,500, were presented by Dr Kengo Suzuki, CEO of Regenesome Inc., during a ceremony graced by Professor Raja Affendi Raja Ali and Mr Chiam Boon Lee, Director of Sustainable Food Asia Co., Ltd..
