A PhD in Finance and MBA from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Bachelor of Economics (Honours) major in Econometrics from University Utara Malaysia (UUM). Results driven professional with proven business development and management experience globally. Accomplished in determining most optimal operational practices, achieving all objectives and ensuring smooth operations.

Total 27 years of working experience. Prior to Academic job, Dr Chan had more than 18 years’ experience in small and medium and large size enterprises in sales, marketing, and finance field. Dr Chan worked with Global MNC such as Dell Asia Pacific as a Regional Marketing Manager for South Asia, Country Head of Sales & Marketing (IT component Division) in Samsung Malaysia Electronic, Trend Micro as a Head of SME Channel Sales Manager. Dr Chan also worked with local MNC such as CNI Corp (multi-level marketing company) as the Regional Marketing Manager for the Asia Pacific and worked with Malaysia Building Society Berhad one of the financial institutions under the minister of Finance Malaysia as a Structure Finance and Head of research. Besides that, Dr Chan also Holding a remisier’s License with KNN previously (Ex-remisier) and a Fund Manager under Hasco International investment house based in Singapore and also CFP - Certified Financial Planner under Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and Register Finance Planner RFP (Shariah) under Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC). In the social activity, very active in military services. (Served military for 10 years). Ex-Military Office ranking (Retired Lieutenant).

Dr Chan has worked at one AACSB-accredited business schools University Putra Malaysia in 2013-2017). Dr Chan hold a tutor position while doing my PhD. Dr Chan had worked as a teaching staff in finance related fields at universities including UCSI University, Asia Pacific University/Staffordshire University and Tar College University/Coventry University. Visited Harvard University, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Cambridge, Oxford, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Edinburgh. 9 years in the academic position currently holding Programme Leader - Senior lecturer position.
