I embarked on my academic journey at Sunway University with an unwavering passion for understanding the complexities of global commerce and the potential for forging international partnerships, choosing to pursue a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in International Business. Little did I know that this programme would serve as a gateway to many career prospects, spanning fields such as consultancy, human resources, and marketing. Today, I am dedicated to building a career in consultancy and risk management, equipped with the knowledge and skills I gained while at Sunway University.

One of the most transformative aspects of my Sunway University experience was my study of 'Managing Change.' This course exposed me to various change management models that successfully empower organisations to implement and sustain significant changes. It kindled my passion for becoming a management consultant in the future, equipping me with the crucial skills and strategies needed to guide companies through periods of transformation.

My academic success opened numerous employment opportunities, with over ten companies offering jobs ranging from multinational corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises. This reflects the sterling reputation of Sunway University and the confidence employers have in its graduates. In the past, I honed my skills as a Management Consultant Intern with Change Dynamics Consulting, where I focused on government projects and change management. This experience enriched my knowledge and augmented my resume as I prepared to step into the professional realm.

A cherished memory from my time at Sunway University is my participation in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) summer school. Studying Innovation Management during this program was an eye-opening experience, connecting me with individuals from diverse backgrounds and forming friendships with peers from around the globe. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sunway University for the opportunity to represent the business school in this transformative program.

In navigating the challenges of my academic journey, I must express my deepest gratitude to the lecturers at Business School. The unwavering support was a guiding light during times of personal adversity, including the loss of two beloved family members. Their encouragement and mentorship enabled me to persist and excel, ultimately graduating with first-class honours. The lecturer's guidance and belief in me were instrumental in my academic success.

Beyond academics, I had the privilege of serving as the Vice President of the Sunway International Business Society for the 2022/2023 term. Over my tenure, our team organised and executed more than 30 events, providing a platform to establish meaningful connections that will shape my future career. This experience also served as a crucible for personal growth, enhancing my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

One of my most cherished memories at Sunway University is my role as the Event Director of Sustainable Stylecon. This event was an extraordinary journey dedicated to promoting sustainability and conscientious fashion choices. Over three months, we orchestrated over a dozen events, collaborated with over 30 committees, secured sponsorship from over ten organisations, and established partnerships with over 20 like-minded entities.

Sustainable Stylecon garnered participation from over 300 individuals and earned recognition from renowned figures, including Ms. Universe Malaysia, Mr. Malaysia, and other prominent beauty pageant icons. It was a privilege to work alongside an incredibly passionate and dedicated team, and together, we seamlessly orchestrated a series of events that embodied our mission and vision for a more sustainable fashion industry.

As I look to the future, I am dedicated to continuous self-improvement as I pursue a career in the consulting world. In the words of my article's title, 'From Day Dreamer to Dream Maker,' Sunway University has provided me with opportunities beyond my wildest dreams and equipped me with a top-tier education and the resources to realise my aspirations. I am grateful for the university's recognised excellence, dedicated lecturers, state-of-the-art facilities, and supportive learning environment. My time at Sunway University has been transformative, and I am honoured to have embarked on my academic journey here, forever cherishing the legacy it has imparted to me.
