Biography

Marcus L. Stephenson is Professor of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Dean of the School of Hospitality at Service Management at Sunway University (Malaysia). Prior to this appointment, he was Professor and Head of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at The University of the South Pacific (Fiji). Professor Stephenson has published extensively on the sociology of tourism, and specialises in tourism and hospitality studies, specifically relating to culture, race, ethnicity, and religion. He possesses significant teaching and research experience in the Caribbean, East Africa, Middle East, Malaysia, Pacific Island states and the United Kingdom.
