Biography

Professor Elil is a senior international expert with extensive leadership experience and expertise in public health, global health, evaluation and organizational learning, strategic planning and governance, collaborating with governments, UN agencies, nongovernmental organizations and academic institutions. Over the past thirty years, he has held positions in public health with a spectrum of strategic and managerial responsibilities, including over 24 years in leadership and global roles in the World Health Organization. He was most recently Special Advisor to the high-level Panel for a Global Public Health Convention.
