Biography
Patrick Siau holds an honours degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and has trained under Chef Jean-François Arnaud (MOF 2000) in the areas of patisserie, boulangerie and viennoiserie. Prior to joining the education industry, he was Sous Chef at a fine-dining restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chef Patrick has participated and won several awards in national and international culinary competitions. This includes winning the La Classic Culinary Grand Prix for 2004 and 2006, and bagging the silver medal as part of the Malaysia National Culinary Team at the 2006 Food Hotel Asia Culinary Challenge in Singapore. He was Team Captain of the Malaysia National Pastry Team, emerging as second runner-up at the 2010 Asian Pastry Cup in Singapore and leading the team to the 2011 World Pastry Cup in France. In 2013, he was awarded the title of Most Outstanding Pastry Chef at the Battle of the Chefs, Penang, Malaysia. He also contributes to Bareca Magazine Indonesia, writing articles on various pastry products.
