Biography

Elaine Yong obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development respectively, from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She carried out her clinical work at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Prior to joining Sunway, she spent time working in a training capacity with financial institutions and kindergartens. Presently, Elaine shares her knowledge on developmental and educational psychology via parenting talks and teacher workshops. Occasionally, her opinions are solicited and featured in national newspapers and online portals. In 2016, Elaine was awarded the Student Appreciation of Teaching Award in recognition of her excellent teaching performance.
