Hailing from Alor Setar, a small city in Kedah, You Sheng embarked on his educational journey at Sunway University, where he pursued Actuarial Studies. During his time at Sunway University, You Sheng completed his Cambridge A-Levels in 2015, after which he enrolled in Actuarial Studies in 2017. He was fortunate to receive the prestigious Sunway Excellence Scholarship and the Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah Scholastic Award, which allowed him to excel in a remarkable learning environment.

Beyond his academic pursuits, You Sheng actively participated in various committees, including Sunway Actuarial and Financial Excellence (SAFE), Sunway Student Ambassadors (SSA), and Sunway-Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (Sunway-HPAIR). These involvements enriched his student life and allowed him to develop valuable soft skills and create lasting memories.

Upon graduation, You Sheng embarked on his career as an actuarial analyst. Although he initially did not have a clear career path, his passion for mathematics and determination to secure an actuarial position led him to where he is today. As a fresh graduate, he faced the challenge of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. However, with hard work and guidance from his colleagues, he overcame obstacles and succeeded in his projects.
