Biography

Dr Nurul Atiqah Izzati Md Ishak is a Research Fellow at the Research Centre for Nanomaterials and Energy Technology (RCNMET), School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University. She received her PhD in Fuel Cell Engineering from The National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Oleochemicals and a Master of Science (Chemistry) from the same university in 2011 and 2015. As a new young and upcoming scientist, she gained research grants from CRIM-UKM, namely, ‘Dana Impak Perdana (DIP)’, worth RM 100k to run her PhD research. Her main research interest is related to the development of synthesis, characterisation of material properties, optimisation process, and design formulation related to advanced nanomaterial in electrochemical energy conversion and storage, especially in fuel cells and hydrogen production, renewable energy, green chemistry, and colloidal science. She published several articles in mainstream peer-reviewed journals in energy and applied science and in the top 10% journal of world high-impact journals. She has also participated in several research projects collaboration with PETRONAS Research Sdn. Bhd., UniKL, and UiTM.
